Lately, I keep seeing people staring at whale addresses and immediately wanting to follow. I get the itch too, but honestly, first you need to think clearly: is this person building a position, hedging, arbitraging, or just wiping their other positions? A large transfer on the chain looks like "taking off," but it might just be moving to short somewhere else or splitting risk; if you follow in, you become the one catching the wave for them.

Especially these past two days, with cross-chain bridges having issues again and oracles showing abnormal quotes, everyone is shouting "wait for confirmation"... I actually think that at times like this, it's better to slow down and not treat "whale moved" as a confirmation signal. Anyway, I plan to wait for one or two blocks or some time after seeing similar address activity before observing the subsequent moves and direction, then decide whether to try a small position. How do you differentiate whether it's building a position or hedging?
