Just looked at the numbers and Satoshi Nakamoto's net worth situation is pretty wild right now. Dude's been the largest BTC holder since 2009 with around 1.1 million coins just sitting untouched, and back in early October last year he briefly cracked the top 10 richest people on the planet. But after the recent pullback in Bitcoin, his on-chain portfolio value has dropped roughly $20 billion in a couple weeks. Now he's sitting somewhere around 15th globally, which honestly is still insane considering he's still above people like Alice Walton and Michael Bloomberg.

What's crazy to me is how fast this shifts. One dip and you lose $20 billion in paper wealth. It's a good reminder that even for the biggest passive holder in financial history, macro repricing in crypto can be brutal and unpredictable. The guy literally hasn't touched his BTC since the early days, so he's not selling into any of this, but the market's just doing its thing regardless.

Makes you think about what Satoshi Nakamoto's actual purchasing power looks like when volatility swings this hard. Whether he's top 10 or top 15 barely matters at that scale, but the speed of these wealth fluctuations in digital assets is something else entirely.
