Recently, I've encountered situations where I need a temporary phone number again, such as registering for overseas websites or testing verification code interfaces. Buying a new SIM card is too impractical. I've run into many pitfalls before—some SMS platforms don't receive messages at all, others have delays of half a day. Only later did I figure out which decoding platforms are truly reliable.

It's basically virtual number services. You select the country when registering, bind the number to the target website, and the verification code appears directly in the backend. Charges are either per use or monthly. Compared to regular phone numbers, privacy is also protected. Among the platforms I've tested, SMS-Activate and 5SIM perform the most stably, usually receiving messages within 10 seconds, and they cover a particularly wide range of countries. For domestic applications, Super Cloud SMS and Little Bird SMS are also good; US number segments generally get a receipt within 30 seconds.

The biggest pitfall with these decoding platforms is that the numbers may have been used before or flagged for risk control. If you don't receive messages, just switch to a different number segment. It's recommended to prepare several numbers as backups, especially when you need stable registration for overseas websites. Also, platforms that support APIs are especially convenient for interface testing, allowing batch processing directly. Additionally, some platforms have a "one-click number switch" feature, which is really practical and helps avoid waste.

However, I want to remind you that these services are only for privacy protection and testing. Do not use them for illegal activities; obeying the law is fundamental.
