Recently, people have been watching on-chain large transfers and unusual activity in exchange hot and cold wallets, claiming it's "smart money" hinting at something... The more I look, the more numb I become. Often, the real black box is on the bridge side: who is actually signing multi-signatures, whether the data fed by the oracle is correct, a slight message delay is enough to cause issues.

So now, I basically just honestly "wait for confirmation" when it comes to cross-chain transactions, preferring to be a bit slower, at least to increase the cost of malicious acts and give myself time to stay calm. Honestly, when I see the progress bar flying fast, I feel less secure; speed doesn't equal stability. Missing out occasionally is okay, as long as I don't pay the tuition on the bridge.
