When I first started trading, all these terms seemed like gibberish to me. Now I understand that you simply can't do trading without them. Let's go over the most important ones.
Let's start with the basics. Long - is when you buy an asset hoping that the price will go up and you will be able to sell it at a higher price. Short - is the opposite action, you sell an asset to buy it back cheaper later. You can make money on both if you read the market correctly.
Now about the main thing - what is TVH in trading? TVH stands for Entry Point into a position. Essentially, it's just the price at which you open a trade. It sounds simple, but choosing the right entry point often determines your entire trading result.
Once you've opened a position, you need to protect yourself from losses. For this, there is a stop - a pending order that will automatically close your trade if the price moves against you. The stop triggers when the market reaches a certain level and helps limit the loss.
On the other hand, if the market moves in your favor, you want to lock in profit. For this, a take-profit is used - a pre-set order that will close your position with a profit at the desired level.
All of this together - TVH, stop, and take-profits - is called a setup. Essentially, it's your ready-made trading scenario, a plan for how you will trade a specific asset.
There are also important points. MTF and STF are the lower and higher timeframes, respectively. Experienced traders always look at several time intervals simultaneously to avoid getting caught in a trap.
A trap is when the market gives a false signal. It seems like the asset is about to skyrocket or plummet, everyone starts buying or selling, and then the price unexpectedly reverses in the opposite direction. An unpleasant thing, but part of the game.
And the last point - correction. It's simply a movement of the price against the current trend. If the market is rising, correction is a temporary dip. If it’s falling, correction is a temporary rise. This is completely normal and expected in any market.
So now you know the main terms. The main thing - remember that everyone knows what TVH in trading is, but not everyone manages to choose the right entry point. It comes with experience and analysis.
