Two states in Brazil have experienced consecutive days of heavy rain, resulting in 8 deaths.

According to reports from Brazil, continuous heavy rains have so far caused the deaths of 8 people in the states of Pernambuco and Paraíba, with 6 in Pernambuco and 2 in Paraíba. The Pernambuco state government announced a state of emergency on the 2nd, and the Paraíba state government has also declared a state of public disaster. The news states that the Brazilian National Civil Defense Department has said it has assisted regions affected by the heavy rains in obtaining federal disaster relief resources. (CCTV News)
