On April 22nd, local time, just before the second round of ambassador-level talks between Israel and Lebanon, Israeli Foreign Minister Sall stated in a public speech that there are “no major disagreements” between Israel and Lebanon. He said, “We have made a historic decision to hold direct negotiations with Lebanon after more than 40 years.” Sall stated that there are no significant disputes between Israel and Lebanon, only some “small border disputes” that can be resolved. The biggest obstacle to peace and normalization of relations between the two countries is only one — Hezbollah. Previously, there were reports that the second round of ambassador-level talks between Israel and Lebanon would be held at the U.S. State Department on the 23rd of this month. (CCTV News)
