The U.S. extends the ceasefire deadline with Iran and maintains the maritime blockade

U.S. President Trump issued a statement on social media on the 21st, saying that at the request of the mediating party Pakistan, he agreed to extend the ceasefire with Iran until Iran submits its plan and completes related consultations. But he also stated that U.S. forces will continue to impose a maritime blockade on Iran and maintain combat readiness. Trump previously said that the two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran would expire on the evening of the 22nd, Washington time, and he does not want to extend the ceasefire.
