BTC Analysis: Tight Range, Overbought Signals, and Breakout Preparation Underway

Bitcoin is currently trading around $78,470, maintaining a slight intraday gain, but the underlying structure is more complex than it appears.
In the short term, the trend remains bullish. The 15-minute structure shows a clean MA alignment (MA7 > MA30 > MA120), which usually supports trend continuation. But at the same time, a clear MACD peak divergence has formed — price pushes higher while momentum fades. This often serves as an early warning that the move is losing strength.
Additionally, falling below the 20 MA on lower timeframes indicates that buyers are no longer fully in control in the very short term.
Looking at the 4H timeframe, the situation becomes more divergent. Williams %R is in the deep overbought zone, and the SAR has turned bearish, which typically signals that the trend is extended and vulnerable to a correction. This doesn’t mean an immediate reversal, but chasing the peak becomes riskier.
On the daily timeframe, the situation is even more interesting.
Both CCI and Williams %R are in overbought zones, pointing to a potential peak phase. But at the same time, there is a basic MACD divergence, which is usually a bullish signal. This contradiction is important — it tells us that the market has not decided, not that it is weak.
The biggest current signal is volatility compression.
Bollinger Bands are at their tightest level in 30 days, which almost always leads to a strong move. The only question is the direction.
Volume is increasing along with the price, supporting the idea that participation is rising. RSI across various timeframes remains neutral, so momentum from that perspective has not yet reached exhaustion.
Key levels are very clear:
• Resistance: $78,500 – $80,000
• Support: $73,000 – $75,000
From my perspective, BTC is in a compression phase before expansion.
The market is not weak — it is tightening.
But the combination of overbought signals + strong resistance means this is not an ideal place to blindly go long. At the same time, the broader structure still supports upward movement if resistance is broken cleanly.
So, the main game here is patience.
Wait for confirmation, not predictions.
Because once this range breaks, the move is likely to be sharp — and quick.
