These days, I’ve seen DAO proposals arguing about whether to increase incentives again. My first reaction isn’t to pick a side, but to see who can get votes and what kind of votes. Honestly, many votes seem to be about parameters on the surface, but underneath, they’re about changing the power structure: shifting profits, seats, or even veto rights slightly toward certain roles. In the end, it becomes about “who is more likely to keep winning.”

In fact, Layer 2 discussions about TPS, fees, and ecosystem subsidies are even more intense, but on the chain, it’s still the same set of issues: how to distribute subsidies, who gets it first, and how long it lasts. Anyway, when I look at proposals now, I first check the flow of incentives and voting thresholds. The data might not be very clear, but don’t get the direction wrong, or you might accidentally weld someone’s chair in place.
