He added that the fire has been extinguished, but did not specify the extent of the damage. Primorsk Port is an important part of Russia’s oil industry; before Ukraine launched a series of attacks this year, the port typically exported more than 1 million barrels of crude oil and diesel every day. These attacks are part of a wider campaign by Kyiv targeting ports and refineries. After the port was hit by a drone attack on March 23, it had temporarily halted oil tanker loading.
