Iran intensifies diplomatic mediation, communicating with Japan and Italy regarding regional situations and efforts for a ceasefire

BlockBeats News, May 3rd, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held telephone talks with the foreign ministers of Japan and Italy on Saturday, outlining Iran’s diplomatic efforts to end the U.S.-Israeli aggressive war, and emphasizing that the international community needs to take responsible actions.

In the call with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, Araghchi discussed bilateral relations, regional situations, and Iran’s ongoing diplomatic initiatives to end the war and ease tensions. Iran’s Foreign Minister also spoke with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, focusing on the latest regional developments, ceasefire efforts, and diplomatic actions.

Araghchi expressed regret over some European countries’ repeated unconstructive and irresponsible rhetoric regarding Iran’s nuclear issue, emphasizing that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful. He urged these countries to condemn U.S.-Israeli aggression and hold them accountable for their serious violations of international humanitarian law. (Jin10)
