Today I checked on-chain data again and it lagged a bit; I thought my internet was down… Actually, many times it's not that the chain is broken, but that the indexer/subgraph is tracking blocks, filling in historical data, or RPC is rate-limited. No matter how fast you refresh, you just see a “delayed truth.” What's more annoying is that the same net inflow transaction doesn't match the time on different dashboards, making me talk about structure with my mouth but still hold an empty position in my hands.
Why does it always lag?
Honestly: everyone is squeezing into the same gap, and the server is catching its breath first.
Recently, I've been discussing rate cut expectations, the US dollar index, and risk assets rising and falling together. I just listen to it as noise; the data isn't even stable yet, so no need to rush and add drama to myself… I’m currently watching trading volume and on-chain inflows, waiting until it stops acting up before making any moves.
