Lately I've been thinking about wallets again, and honestly it depends on whether your current assets are worth the hassle. For a few thousand dollars, I think a hardware wallet is sufficient; just don't take pictures of your seed phrase and upload it to the cloud.

For slightly larger amounts, with multi-chain assets and long-term holdings, multi-signature setups are much more reliable, even though signing is a bit cumbersome, at least you won't lose everything if your phone is lost.
I'm a bit conflicted about social recovery; it’s definitely more convenient, but if the “friend/device” link gets compromised, it can be pretty awkward. It’s suitable for people who frequently operate and don’t want to deal with cold wallets every day.
By the way, with some places tightening taxes and compliance, and the uncertainty around deposits and withdrawals increasing, I actually prefer to split permissions so that one entry point doesn’t lock me out of everything.
What I don’t regret is… previously, I would mark suspicious contracts as a habit, even if it seemed paranoid, at least I sleep better.
That’s all for now.
