According to reports, data released by the Korea Exchange Information Data System on the 3rd shows that, as of the 29th of last month, there are 405 listed companies with a market value exceeding 1 trillion Korean won, surpassing 400 for the first time. With the domestic stock market performing strongly, the number of companies with a market value exceeding 1 trillion Korean won has also increased rapidly. On May 20, 2015, there were more than 200 listed companies with a market value exceeding 1 trillion Korean won; this rose to more than 300 by July 16, 2025, and then only 9 months later, it surpassed 400 again.
