Iraq Revives Syria Oil Route as Strait of Hormuz Becomes Impassable

With the Strait of Hormuz impassable, Iraqi border authorities said 70 crude oil tankers entered Syria through the Rabia crossing on the 2nd, reopening an overland export route after 13 years. The Rabia crossing in Nineveh province had stayed shut after the Syrian civil war began in 2011 and reopened in April.
