CoinWorld News. The Strait of Hormuz is closed. On the 2nd, Iraq’s border port management authorities said that 70 oil tankers loaded with crude oil entered Syria via the Rabiya border crossing from Iraq that same day. This marks Iraq’s reactivation of this land oil transportation route after 13 years. The Rabiya border crossing is located in Nineveh Province in northwestern Iraq. It had been closed for a long time after the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011, and it was only reopened again in April this year. The crossing is not far from the oil fields in Mosul and Kirkuk in northern Iraq.
