I recently heard that there is a financial blogger called Zuan Zong, who tripled his followers by shorting semiconductors and lost everything.

Don't short against the trend.
If you're not optimistic, you don't have to buy, but please don't short.
These have always been my two main principles, so I personally rarely take short positions.
