Lately I often hear about bull runs, but not everyone really knows what it means. Basically, a bull run is quite simple: cryptocurrency prices start to rise decisively, the market heats up, and everyone wants to get in. But behind this apparent simplicity, there’s an interesting dynamic worth understanding.
The cycle of a bull run develops in four distinct phases. First is accumulation, when experienced investors start buying quietly while the market is still calm and no one is talking about it. Then comes the recovery, where prices begin to move upward gradually, still without much fanfare. The third phase is euphoria, the moment when everyone notices what’s happening and starts buying frantically. Finally, there’s distribution, when big players realize their profits by selling, and the market becomes volatile.
How to recognize if we are truly in a bull run? Well, the signals are quite obvious. Bitcoin and other main assets start rushing toward new highs. Social media explode with crypto conversations. You see people who have never touched a cryptocurrency suddenly afraid of missing out. Meme coins, NFTs, and DeFi projects become common topics of discussion. Every week, new projects promising who knows what pop up.
During these periods, the market fills with fresh money, more people start actually using cryptocurrencies, and profit opportunities multiply. It all seems easy, but here’s the risk: prices can fall just as quickly as they rose.
If you want to seriously take advantage of a bull run, strategy is important. Invest early in solid projects, don’t just follow the trend. Have a trading plan, don’t act on impulse. Maybe start something in Web3 if you have an idea. But above all, learn before putting real money on the table.
This is the critical point: bull runs are exciting, of course, but they are also dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. Don’t invest without thinking. Protect your funds with risk management strategies. Don’t blindly follow what the crowd does.
Looking at previous cycles, 2017 and 2021 were legendary bull runs, but they also taught harsh lessons to those unprepared. Now the question is: do you think the next one is really around the corner? And if so, are you ready to handle it wisely?
