CoinWorld News, on May 2nd local time, senior Republican leaders of the U.S. Congress issued a joint statement expressing "deep concern" over the Pentagon's plan to withdraw approximately 5,000 U.S. troops from Germany.

Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Roger Wicker and House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers stated in the declaration that Germany has responded to U.S. President Trump’s call to share more defense responsibilities by significantly increasing defense spending and providing support for U.S. military stationing and operations.
The statement urges that any major adjustments involving U.S. military deployment in Europe should be carefully evaluated and closely coordinated with Congress and allies.
