I have been observing the Chinese cryptocurrency ecosystem lately, and there are some really interesting projects that you should probably keep on your radar. They are not the most well-known globally, but they have solid proposals and real traction in the Asian market.
Let's start with NEO, probably the most recognized Chinese cryptocurrency. They call it China's Ethereum, and for good reason; it focuses on building an intelligent digital economy through smart contracts and verified digital identity. It is currently trading around $2.75 and has a market cap of nearly $194 million. It’s interesting because it really tries to solve practical digital infrastructure problems.
Next is Conflux, a high-speed Chinese blockchain network that operates with the Tree-Graph mechanism. What makes it special is that it is one of the few projects officially approved within China, which is an important point considering the regulatory environment. It is focused on Web3, digital identity, and collaborations with the government. It is currently trading around $0.06 with a market cap of $314 million. Definitely a Chinese cryptocurrency with potential.
VeChain is another project worth watching. It connects blockchain with supply chains in a practical way. They use it to track products from source to consumer in industries like manufacturing, fashion, automobiles, and food. The transparency it offers is real and measurable. It trades around $0.01 with a market cap of $616 million, making it one of the largest in the group.
Ontology focuses on digital identity and data management. It helps companies build identity verification systems and secure decentralized data storage. It is approximately $0.07 with a market cap of $70 million. It’s smaller but with a very specific and valuable use case.
Finally, QTUM combines the best of Bitcoin with Ethereum’s programmability. It provides a balanced environment for developing decentralized applications with good performance and flexibility. It’s around $0.87 with a market cap of $92 million. It’s interesting because it offers a different proposal in the Chinese crypto space.
If you are considering diversifying your portfolio with Asian assets, these five Chinese cryptocurrencies definitely deserve your attention. Each one solves specific problems and has real use cases. You can monitor their movements on Gate to see which ones align best with your strategy.
