Lately, I've been noticing that on-chain data keeps "lagging" every now and then. At first, I thought it was just everyone using ETF fund flows + U.S. stock market risk appetite to hard-justify the market, but then I realized it's not about the price at all; it's the data source acting up: the Subgraph indexer hasn't caught up with the latest blocks, or the RPC is being rate-limited/queued. No matter how often you refresh, you'll only see outdated status. Basically, what the front end displays isn't the "truth on the chain," but rather "who finishes copying the chain first." Now, when I do small experiments, I get into the habit of opening two RPCs and cross-checking with direct browser queries. Even if it's slower, at least I won't get my mindset thrown off by that brief delay.
