The past few days, the blockchain has been as crowded as rush hour, with many people shouting "I placed an order, why is there no movement?" Actually, your transaction first goes to the mempool to queue: if you set a low gas fee, you'll stand at the back, while others keep increasing their bids to cut in line (a bit like scalpers), so your transaction might stay pending for a long time, or even get expired or dropped by nodes. What's more annoying is that you think it hasn't gone through and resend it, only to find both transactions get confirmed together... The wallet directly plays out "Who am I, where am I." When congestion happens, I usually check the pending count and recommended fee rates first; if it's urgent, I accelerate or replace it, if not, I don't hard jump the queue. Recently, everyone has been using ETF capital flows and US stock risk appetite to explain all the rises and falls; anyway, when sentiment rises, the chain gets even more congested, so prioritize survival first.
