Unlocking $71 million USD ETH: The Arbitrum Governance Council (Arbitrum DAO) has just voted and decided to unlock approximately 30,766 ETH (worth around $71 million USD).
Reason: This emergency measure is a direct intervention following a serious vulnerability exploit that caused $290 million USD in damages targeting Kelp DAO (reports suggest this was an attack by North Korean hacker groups).
Purpose: The funds will be transferred to the DeFi Recovery Fund (DeFi United Recovery Fund) to minimize user losses, address the aftermath, and stabilize the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem on the network.
