Spot positions can't be held, contracts get liquidated, to put it simply: if your position is too large, your mindset is no longer under your control. Later, I set a simple rule for myself: what I can sleep soundly over is a position, what keeps me awake is gambling.

Recently, I've seen everyone sharing testnet incentives, accumulating points, guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens, and I also got the itch, but just thinking "what if they don't issue" makes me even more hesitant to get carried away. So I did a very boring but lifesaving thing: set reminders/limits, and only allow myself small, incremental trades at certain times, instead of impulsively adding leverage.

The strange thing is, once the reminder was set, my mind actually became a bit calmer. Previously, watching the market was like waiting for judgment; now it’s just... oh, it’s here, buy a bit/don’t buy, anyway I won’t change the rules. Whether I make money or not is another matter, at least I’m no longer being led around by the market. Let’s start with this.
