I started recording what I am waiting for each time I cross-chain: it's not fear of slowness, but fear of that false sense of security where you think the funds have arrived, but they're actually still floating in the bridge. Multi-signature stuff, to be honest, is just sharing the risk among a group of people; having more people doesn't mean it's safer, the key is who, how to switch, and whether there are emergency permissions. Oracles are the same; feeding the wrong price just once is enough for you to pay tuition. Recently, the funding rates are extreme again, and in the group, people are arguing whether to reverse or continue to inflate the bubble. I actually remind myself more not to force cross-chain moves in this emotional state to chase the rhythm, preferring to wait a few more blocks for confirmation rather than making an impulsive "instant arrival" move. The biggest benefit of recording this is that next time I get itchy, I can glance back and know exactly what I am gambling on.
