These days, I keep hearing about cross-chain bridge hacks, and it's making me a bit nervous... For someone like me who watches the fund flow curve slowly unfold, the biggest fear is "who do you trust when doing a cross-chain transfer?" Honestly, it's not just Chain A and Chain B, you also have to trust the intermediary that transmits the messages: who proves that this message really happened, who forwards it, who verifies signatures/status, and also that the smart contract code itself isn't malicious. IBC looks more "standard," at least it clearly explains the verification logic, but it's not foolproof security with just a click; if the light client, validator set, or relayer drops the ball, it's troublesome. When an oracle reports abnormal prices, everyone collectively "waits for confirmation," which feels quite realistic—taking it slow can definitely help avoid pitfalls... Anyway, I now wait a few rounds before cross-chain transfers and split the amounts into smaller parts to prevent my heart from racing in the middle of the night.
