German Chancellor: Have not yet seen the U.S. exit strategy in the Iran war.
On April 27th local time, German Chancellor Merz exchanged views with students in North Rhine-Westphalia, discussing the Iran situation, energy security, and Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. Merz: I see no US withdrawal strategy in Iran war.
When discussing the Iran conflict, Merz stated that he currently “does not see the United States choosing a withdrawal strategy in the Iran war.”
He pointed out that the US has “not formed a truly convincing strategy” in the related conflicts and negotiations, and believes that Iran is “obviously more assertive than external expectations.”
Merz said that the US “obviously entered this conflict without a comprehensive strategy,” making subsequent resolution more difficult.
Merz described the current situation as “quite complex,” and pointed out that this conflict has already had a direct impact on economic operations. (CCTV News)
