Interesting development in the Kaspa community: Hans Moog, an absolute veteran with 24 years of experience in programming and decentralized technology, officially joined Kaspa in early May as Lead Research Fellow. The position is funded by the Kaspa Foundation.
For those who don't know Hans Moog yet — he previously held a research leadership position at IOTA and made a name for himself in DAG technology there. Now he is focusing on Kaspa because he is convinced by the architecture design and the decentralized philosophy of the project.
What exactly is Hans Moog working on there? He is working on Kaspa 2.0 and Zero-Knowledge Proofs. With his background in PoW and DAG systems, he brings the expertise that the project needs.
For context: Kaspa is a PoW project that was launched fairly in 2021. Current metrics look solid — the circulation rate is around 95%, and the market capitalization is just under one billion dollars. That’s still relatively small in the large crypto ecosystem, but the technical foundation seems to be in place.
Hans Moog’s involvement signals that serious technical development is happening behind Kaspa. Anyone following the DAG scene should keep this on their radar.
