Someone asked, "What’s the actual benefit of modularity for regular users?" I thought about it for a while... Honestly, it doesn’t really reduce the number of confirmations you have to do. The feeling is: more chains, more fragmented entry points, having a bunch of network names in your wallet makes your head spin, but transaction fees are occasionally cheaper, and there are fewer lags—that’s a kind of benefit. But the sense of security hasn’t kept up; cross-chain bridges frequently have issues, oracles glitch, and everyone collectively says "wait for confirmation" again. In the end, it’s back to the old logic: avoid cross-chain if possible, minimize interactions. As for whether "modularity is safer"… I don’t know, at least it’s easier to shift blame around. Regarding your comment that "users don’t feel it": yeah, pretty much, but the pitfalls are more hidden.
