You don’t want to be rich so you can buy a Rolex or a Benz just to prove you “made it”. You want to be rich so you control your time, so you can sit on your porch at 8:47am with a cup of coffee and nowhere you have to be, so you can hit the gym at 11am when it’s empty, take your wife to lunch on a random Tuesday, or leave early for your kid’s game without asking for permission. That’s real wealth, and it has nothing to do with buying things to impress people who don’t give a damn about you.
