Abstract generation in progress

On May 2nd, the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security learned that on the second day of the “May Day” holiday, traffic flow on major highways and national provincial trunk roads across the country slightly decreased compared to the first day of the holiday but remained at a high level. Some roads around tourist attractions experienced concentrated traffic flow, and certain sections and times around large and medium-sized cities and key scenic spots experienced queuing and slow movement. As of 5 p.m., overall traffic in major cities and on major highways and national provincial trunk roads across the country was generally safe and smooth.
The national public security traffic management departments closely coordinated with holiday travel patterns, weather conditions, regional characteristics, and traffic flow changes, further strengthening law enforcement inspections, order guidance, publicity and education, emergency response, and other work, making every effort to prevent accidents, ensure safety, and maintain smooth traffic, striving to create a good road traffic environment for the public’s holiday travel. The Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security reminds drivers: pay close attention to weather changes, reasonably plan travel times and routes, and in the event of rain, strong winds, or other weather conditions, drive cautiously, reduce speed, turn on lights, maintain safe distances, and prevent rear-end collisions, side flips, and other traffic accidents.
