Just finished wallet authorization and found that I previously clicked "Unlimited" on some contracts with a shaky hand. At the time, it was just to save trouble, but now I think it's like leaving the door unlocked when you go to sleep: not necessarily dangerous, but if something does happen, you won't even have time to shout. Revoking permissions is like brushing your teeth and washing your face—there's no benefit, and it doesn't excite you, but it can significantly reduce those strange rapid heartbeats... I usually revoke permissions right after using a DeFi platform; it takes a minute, and I sleep soundly all night.
Recently, everyone has been talking about modularity, DA layers, and so on. Developers are excited, but users (like me) are completely confused: no matter how new the narrative, permission issues are still the same old problem. Contracts won't be gentle just because you don't understand them. Anyway, my slow and steady approach is to be cautious—get permissions under control first, then check the market. That way, I won't get robbed in the middle of the night and have to get up and curse. It's really unbearable.
