Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) and Hunan Iron and Steel Group Reach Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
Recently, CATL and Hunan Iron and Steel Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian.
Both parties will jointly build a leading “green energy, green transportation” system in the steel industry, creating a low-carbon development benchmark system for the steel sector.
This cooperation will start with Hunan Iron and Steel Group’s three major production bases, promoting plant new energy transformation, green electricity application, heavy-duty truck electrification, and low-carbon operations and maintenance.
CATL will provide Hunan Iron and Steel Group with integrated source-grid-load-storage solutions, direct green electricity connection, and other plans, promoting the electrification of locomotives, heavy-duty trucks, ships, and other equipment, along with supporting the construction of charging and swapping stations.
