Does DAO voting really mean "everyone decides together"?

Honestly, the most interesting part of proposals has never been those beautiful visions, but rather how incentives are allocated, who gets what, and whose votes are more valuable... It seems like a discussion about the community's future, but underneath it's really about adjusting the power structure: whether to allocate the budget to the people doing the work, or to lock the decision-making power in a few addresses. Recently, the heated debate over NFT royalties also looks similar; on the surface, it's "support creators," but on the other side, they shout "don't affect liquidity," and in the end, many proposals are really about choosing: who gets the cake first, and who sets the rules. Now I always review the incentive clauses and execution rights before voting—slogans can be written however you like, but once the authority is handed over, it's hard to take back. Anyway, I try not to get too emotionally involved.
