I remember, at the beginning of the year, I was just shocked by the numbers. It turns out that the richest person in the world – Elon Musk – for the first time in history surpassed $700 billion. $726 billion, to be exact. These are truly crazy numbers for one person.

What’s interesting is that this is not just a random jump. SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla, neurotechnology – all of this together created such an effect. And no one before has ever reached such heights of personal wealth. This is truly a historic event.

But Musk is not the only one who hit the jackpot. He is followed by tech giants. Larry Page from Google sits on $270 billion thanks to Alphabet’s dominance in AI. Jeff Bezos in third place with $255 billion – Amazon and AWS operate like clockwork.

The list continues as follows: Sergey Brin ($251 billion), Larry Ellison ($248 billion), Mark Zuckerberg ($233 billion), Bernard Arnault ($205 billion), Steve Ballmer ($170 billion), Jensen Huang ($156 billion), and Warren Buffett ($151 billion). Do you see the pattern? Technology, technology, and more technology.

What drives this madness? First, artificial intelligence and cloud computing are growing exponentially. Second, space technologies and semiconductors are experiencing a real boom. Third, American tech companies simply dominate the global market. And fourth – these are the long-term bets of founders who haven’t sold their shares.

The result: the world’s richest person is now unreachable ahead, and the entire top of wealth consists of tech magnates. This reflects where capital is really flowing in 2026.
