On May 2, Iran’s Chief Justice Ejei stated that Iran does not shy away from negotiations with the United States but firmly opposes American coercion. He pointed out that negotiations are reasonable and logical, but this does not mean accepting the demands imposed by the U.S., nor can Iran tolerate the use of threats to impose will. At the same time, Iran does not want war and certainly does not wish for it to continue. (CCTV International News)
