Everyone basically gets it: those bit of gas fees on the mainnet are really just pushing people to learn to “wait and see.” My current routine is pretty much this: for everyday small amounts and frequent operations, I send them to L2. For things like transfers, placing orders, or splitting positions—honestly, the experience is a lot smoother. But when I truly need to do something more serious (for example, using an NFT as collateral, redeeming it, or dealing with contract permissions where one mistake can cause a lot of trouble), I still go back to the mainnet. Sure, it’s more expensive, but at least I can rest easy.

This airdrop season makes it even more obvious. The task platforms have been cracking down on anti-witch (anti-sybil) more and more. Once the points system rolled out, those “freebie grabbers” really start acting like they’re clocking in and checking in—like they’re going to work. I can’t be bothered to grind either, so I just use a commonly used address and play it slowly. If I can reduce the number of cross-chain transfers, I do. I’d rather be a bit late than put myself through all that hassle just to save a few dozen bucks and end up blowing up my own mindset. In the end, with on-chain stuff, there’s always a real trade-off between experience and cost. That’s it for now.
