CryptoWorld News reports that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has scheduled a Clarity Act roundtable in May. The roundtable will invite SEC and CFTC officials to jointly discuss issues related to the structure and jurisdiction of the digital asset market with representatives from the crypto industry. This is the final regulatory step before the legislative review expected to be conducted by the Senate Banking Committee on May 11. The roundtable follows the joint taxonomy released by the SEC and CFTC on March 17, which categorized 16 types of digital assets as commodities and provided a framework for converting the Clarity Act into permanent federal law.
