The first Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting since the Buffett era has begun, with the theme of "Legacy Continuation."
BlockBeats News, May 2 — Berkshire Hathaway’s first shareholder meeting in the post-Buffett era has begun tonight at 8:00 PM (UTC+8). This is the first time since the 95-year-old Buffett stepped down as CEO and Abel officially took over that he has hosted as the new CEO, the “Spring Gala of the Investment World.” The meeting is themed “The Legacy Continues.” Abel, together with insurance business leader Ajit Jain and subsidiary executives Katie Farmer and Adam Johnson, answers questions from shareholders, focusing on discussions around the company’s capital allocation, stock buybacks, technology holdings strategy, and future growth path.
Although Buffett still attends as non-executive chairman, the center of the stage has officially shifted to Abel, 63, marking Berkshire Hathaway’s official entry into the “post-Buffett era.”
