Indian brokers’ lobby seeks 6-month freeze on new RBI rules, document shows

Feb 19 (Reuters) - India’s brokers’ ‌lobby has ‌asked that the ​Reserve Bank of India’s recently issued ‌rules ⁠be kept in abeyance ⁠for six months, according ​to ​a ​document reviewed ‌by Reuters.

Last week, the country’s central bank tightened norms ‌for ​bank ​lending ​to stock ‌brokers and ​other ​market intermediaries.
