Post-95s started browsing job recruitment apps, quietly setting their resumes to "Employed - Not considering new opportunities," but every half hour they click in to check the view count.
Post-90s sit at their desks, staring at their computer screens, their work in hand not stopping, but not typing a single word.
I asked him why he didn't leave.
He said he was waiting for HR to talk to him.
I told him he should ask himself.
He said if he asked, it would be passive, and waiting for them to come talk could get him half a month more in compensation.
He's just turned thirty-four this year, has a two-year-old daughter, and just signed up for a preschool class last month.
Last week, the layoff list came out, and he wasn't on it.
He took out the renewal receipt for the preschool from his drawer, looked at it, then put it back.
I asked if he was happy.
