Meta Launches USDC Creator Payout Pilot on Solana and Polygon
Meta launched a USDC creator payout pilot on Apr. 29 for selected creators in Colombia and the Philippines, targeting a creator economy Goldman Sachs valued at about $250 billion in 2023. Eligible creators must connect a compatible wallet to receive USDC through Meta’s payout system on Solana and Polygon. The article’s 10% adoption scenario implies $25 billion a year in creator payments on stablecoin rails today, rising to $48 billion by 2027 based on Goldman’s market projection. A BIS report estimated about $390 billion in payment-related stablecoin flows in 2025, which frames the pilot as a potentially visible addition to real-economy stablecoin use if adoption grows.
