The mainnet is like taking a taxi downtown—reliable but expensive and prone to traffic jams; L2 is like the subway—cheap and smooth, but you have to accept "transfers." Ordinary people should not overthink the compromise: small daily transactions, claiming airdrops, completing tasks on L2; large amounts for long-term storage should stay on the mainnet or at least be transferred through trusted bridges or official channels. Thinking about it later, it’s pretty funny—I used to struggle on the mainnet just to save a bit of gas, but confirming a few more times actually made me more anxious. Also, recently, the narrative around modular and DA layers is exciting developers a lot, but users only care about two things: where is my money, and can I withdraw it smoothly. Honestly, prioritize user experience with L2, keep security boundaries on the mainnet, don’t gamble on bridges, and definitely don’t use leverage to "save on transaction fees."
