Have you heard about this case? The Sylwester Suszek case is truly disturbing. The guy was the founder and former president of BitBay, Poland's largest cryptocurrency exchange, and was known as the "Bitcoin King." Then, in March 2022, he simply disappeared without a trace. At only 34 years old.
The crazy part: he was last seen at a gas station after a business meeting. The police investigated intensively, but nothing came of it. And on the very day Sylwester Suszek disappeared, the surveillance cameras at the depot were not functioning. Too suspicious, right?
His sister Nicole refused to give up easily. She conducted her own investigation and found out that his phone was back online four days later – while on a highway. Then she received these disturbing messages. An audio recording that sounded like Sylwester Suszek but was electronically distorted. He said he needed help and demanded Bitcoin worth 12 million PLN. The message ended with the words: "This is no joke, in a week there will be a photo of the body."
Nicole did not transfer the money. But then more recordings came with threats, mentions of mutilation, demands for him to come home for Easter. To this day, Nicole believes her brother was kidnapped and murdered. The body has never been found.
The worst part: Nicole is receiving threats herself, while the investigation remains open. A case that simply refuses to rest. Sylwester Suszek remains missing, and the truth lies somewhere in the dark.
