You can make a lot of progress in one year | Self-learning path for beginners in finance

1. Establish a macro framework (1–2 weeks)
First understand three things:
How interest rates affect asset prices
How inflation erodes cash
How liquidity drives bull and bear markets
Minimum standard: Be able to explain why “interest rate hikes → risk assets decline”
2. Understand asset classes (1 week)
Don’t focus on just one market
At least understand:
Stocks (company growth logic)
Bonds (interest rate instruments)
