Purrlend Faces Security Incident: Approximately $1.52 Million Lost Due to Admin Multi-Signature Breach

On May 1, Purrlend announced that it experienced a security incident during the deployment on HyperEVM and MegaETH, resulting in a loss of approximately $1.52 million. The attacker compromised the team’s 2/3 admin multi-signature wallet, granting malicious EOA permissions such as BRIDGE_ROLE, and minted uncollateralized pUSDm and pUSDC to borrow assets from the collateral pool. Purrlend stated that it has paused the protocol, revoked related permissions, and is currently working with security teams, law enforcement, and cross-chain bridge partners to track and attempt to recover the funds.
