Wow, I just recently looked at the statistics of the richest people on the planet at the beginning of this year and realized — the world is completely different than it was a few years ago.

Who is the richest person on Earth? Well, the answer is obvious — Elon Musk. And it’s not just for nothing. The guy achieved incredible things: his wealth is estimated at $726 billion. These are just crazy numbers. No one in modern history has ever accumulated such personal wealth. SpaceX’s value has skyrocketed, Starlink is expanding like crazy, Tesla’s stock is growing, and his influence in AI and neurotechnology is only increasing.

Following him are tech giants. Larry Page, one of Google’s founders, holds second place with about $270 billion. Alphabet dominates in artificial intelligence, which boosts his capital. Jeff Bezos is in third place with $255 billion — AWS and Amazon logistics continue to generate serious money.

The list continues as follows: Sergey Brin with $251 billion, Larry Ellison with $248 billion, Mark Zuckerberg with $233 billion, Bernard Arnault with $205 billion, Steve Ballmer with $170 billion, Jensen Huang with $156 billion, Warren Buffett with $151 billion.

What’s interesting is that who is the richest person on Earth is no longer a question of uncertainty. It’s clearly visible: these are people who caught the wave of technology early. AI, cloud computing, space, semiconductors — these are the sectors that are printing money right now. American tech companies simply dominate, and the founders who held onto their shares now sit on fantastic fortunes.

Exponential growth in artificial intelligence, the rise of space technologies, the semiconductor revolution — all of this created a perfect storm for wealth accumulation. And the funniest part is that who the richest person on Earth is today might change tomorrow, but it seems the tech sector will dominate for a long time.
