Recently, everyone has been focusing on staking unlocks/token unlock calendars, which has led to anxiety about selling pressure.
I actually want to pour a little cold water on that: you think you're watching "real-time on the chain," but often what you're seeing is "someone else has organized the on-chain data for you," and it might even be delayed.
Block production by nodes is one thing, but RPC calls from wallets/market pages are another, and many data points need to be scanned by index services first before being fed to the frontend.
Some platforms' RPCs freeze for a moment, and their indexes are a few minutes behind; the large transfers you see might already be "historical footage."
Anyway, whenever I encounter on-chain anomalies now, I check two more sources to compare—don't let delays scare you or cause impulsive trades... that's all for now.
