Paradigm Partners Proposes PACTs Mechanism to Provide Protection Paths for Quantum Vulnerable Bitcoin Addresses

Paradigm General Partner Dan Robinson proposes the "Proven Address Control Timestamp" (PACTs) mechanism, aimed at providing a protection path for Bitcoin addresses under the potential threat of quantum computing.
This scheme allows holders to generate address control proofs through BIP-322, and combine them with a random salt to create on-chain commitments, using OpenTimestamps to complete time anchoring, establishing ownership proof without revealing wallet information. If in the future a soft fork freezes quantum-vulnerable addresses, users can submit STARK zero-knowledge proofs at the time of spending to unlock assets. This mechanism also offers a potential recovery path for wallets derived from BIP-32, but its implementation still depends on Bitcoin introducing STARK verification capabilities and gaining community consensus.
